Ascension starts a new season of the realm. It resets everything a Reincarnation resets, but you keep your R, gems, shop perks, achievements, artifacts and quests. Each season renames the coin, softens old bonuses and brings new choices.

Ascension I (R25)

The coin becomes royal marks.

  • Gold becomes royal marks: a new season, a new coin.
  • Every old upgrade is free: buy them all the moment a run starts.
  • Old bonuses soften to their square root (x100 becomes x10): upgrades, faction base bonuses and reincarnation milestones. Crowns, achievements and gem perks keep full strength.
  • Each reincarnation needs x3.67 more crowns instead of x3, from a lower start.
  • Lineages are capped at L10. Spells can reach tier 6.
  • New choices arrive: Oaths of Order, Chaos and Balance.

Before you ascend

  • Lineages above L10 drop to L10: put faction coins into your lower lineages first.
  • Clear the trials you can now: their gold goals get harder once old bonuses soften.
  • Unlock the achievements within reach: production goals take longer after ascending.
  • Dig while your old bonuses are strong: some finds grow harder to reach.
  • This reincarnation's crowns, research, records and spell tiers reset as with any reincarnation.

Ascension II (R40)

The coin becomes star marks.

  • Royal marks become star marks: the realm's third coin.
  • Every gold and royal-mark upgrade is free, Oaths included.
  • Old bonuses soften again: Era I bonuses to their fourth root, Ascension I bonuses to their square root. Crowns, achievements and gem perks keep full strength.
  • Each reincarnation needs x3.18 more crowns instead of x3.67, from a lower start.
  • Research switches to a point budget: each node costs its number, and the budget grows as you rise.
  • The Forbidden branch opens: research that bends the rules of exclusivity.
  • The Sellsword returns with a fourth tier and any faction's landmark to claim.
  • Legacies open in full. Spells can reach tier 7.

Before you ascend

  • Clear the trials you still can, the elite trials above all: their goals harden once Ascension I bonuses soften.
  • Finish your artifact sets: their finds grow harder once old bonuses soften.
  • Unlock the achievements within reach: production goals take longer after ascending.
  • Serve each Elite Order you mean to keep: membership time this reincarnation is lost.
  • This reincarnation's crowns, research, records and spell tiers reset as with any reincarnation.

Oaths

From Ascension I, after the deed you also swear an oath each run. Deed and oath together name the one faction that will answer.

  • Oath of Order (1M gold): Law, rank and the long count of hours. Opens the Angels, the Undead and the Giants.
  • Oath of Chaos (1M gold): Wild hands and wilder magic. Opens the Elves, the Demons and the Veiled.
  • Oath of Balance (1M gold): Every scale level, every well full. Opens the Dwarves, the Goblins and the Wardens.
